It is generous of you to take interest in my work. Thank you for your attention. Actually, I am preparing the retranscription of (1) the redaction of Aristotelian GC from the medieval bizantine manuscript Mi BA G 51 sup. and (2) the critical edition of the Suarezian commentary In GC from the manuscript Pv BU Aldini 133. In the future I should like to do a editorial work of the Philoponos’ commentary in the Archimedes Palimpsest - if you could this arrange, it would be excellent. I shall appreciate any information.
Best wishes,
Pawel
Good to hear from you. I've been busy with the elemental x-ray imaging of the Archaeopteryx with wonderful results. 2008 was very intense with the Leonardo project at NASA and the fossil imaging project at SLAC. Hardly any time to breath. It looks like I'll be changing directions on my outside projects because the next one is aligned with chemistry and production science. I put up a 3D image composite with my photo to amuse you. I hope you enjoyed it.
Best Wishes,
Bob
Sir, Dear Sir,
Professor, Dear Professor,
Dr,
Dear Mr Noel,
William,
I am stomached (from «στομάχιον», instead of puzzled) on the appropriate way I should address myself to you. Anyhow, I hope you will understand and accept my difficulty while I am expecting in your reply, should you will find the time, to advise me on how I should call you in the future, should it be necessary.
I Understand that you are quite busy, however, I feel obliged to communicate with you basically as an indication of respect to the job you and all the team have done in reviving the «παλύμψιστος τοῦ Ἀρχιμήδους».
I read the book,in his Hellenic translation, you wrote with Prof. Reviel Ritz .
What can I say…
BRAVO!!!
But mainly “THANK YOU”. As a Greek I agree entirely with the conclusions you present in the last pages of your book concerning the ownership of the «παλύμψιστος τοῦ Ἀρχιμήδους».
Taking the chance, I would like to ask you two favours; the first concerns my strong wish to communicate with prof. Ritz in order to send him a short project summary concerning the potential re-writing of the Hellenic grammar by taking as basic the matrix of VENTRIS and the epic poems of Homer; the second concerns my strong wish to become a legal owner of the digitised but Hellenic version of the «παλύμψιστος τοῦ Ἀρχιμήδους».
Last but not least I would like to express my gratitude to the owner of the «παλύμψιστος τοῦ Ἀρχιμήδους» by not letting that document to be bought by any public or private institution. As a Greek who can understand a few things I feel grateful.
Sincerely,
Ioannis KARADIMITROPOULOS

It was nice to meet you, too. And it was a great symposium overall. Very useful and in a very enjoyable atmosphere.
